Man leaves name and address behind during the theft
A man wanted on a warrant has left his name and address behind during a theft from a store in Edenkoben. The 29-year-old and a 30-year-old man stole around 50 disposable e-cigarettes and lighters from the store in the Südliche Weinstraße district, police said on Sunday. During the theft on Friday evening, the man also left behind a letter that he wanted to have stamped.
The address and the name on the letter made it easy to identify the man, they added. Both men were found during the search of his apartment and the stolen goods were found. The 29-year-old was taken to prison. The police did not say why the arrest warrant had been issued.
The intriguing discovery of a letter with their name and address led to the identification of the man involved in the crime. This incident, filled with unexpected curves, adds another layer of curiosities to the ongoing investigation.
