Man kisses sleeping woman on train against her will
A 24-year-old train passenger without a ticket kissed a 40-year-old sleeping woman on the mouth against her will on a long-distance train from Ulm to Munich. The man was remanded in custody for sexual harassment, insult, coercion, harassment of the general public and obtaining benefits by fraud, as the Federal Police announced on Friday.
The woman was sitting in the aisle when the man approached the Munich woman on Wednesday evening and kissed her on the mouth, a spokesperson for the federal police said on Friday. It is still unclear what the man might have intended with the kiss, as his statements were confused. The woman woke up from her sleep and was disgusted while the perpetrator walked away laughing.
A 24-year-old witness went after the man and confronted him without success. The train crew she informed finally found the man and handed him over to the Federal Police at Munich Central Station. The man was already known to the officers for around 15 other offenses.
The incident of sexual harassment occurred on a train from Ulm to Upper Bavaria's capital, Munich. Despite being wanted for over 15 previous offences, the man continued his harassment, including kissing a woman against her will and laughing it off, leading to charges of harassment and other crimes.
