After the treatment of a man with stab wounds in a hospital in Oberfranken, his girlfriend is in custody for investigation. The 43-year-old Latvian woman is suspected of attempted murder, according to the police and prosecutor's office. The background of the incident remained unclear at first.

The 38-year-old was reportedly brought to a clinic in Coburg on a Wednesday with severe injuries. A hospital employee understood the police, who, based on the wounds on the upper body, concluded that they came from a sharp object.

During the investigation, the 43-year-old partner of the man was brought into focus. She was arrested on a Wednesday, and since Thursday she has been in custody. The investigations continued on Monday.

Following the stabbing incident in Upper Franconia, the local police in Coburg are actively investigating. The suspect, a woman from Upper France with roots in Bavaria, is currently in custody for the alleged homicide. The victim, a 38-year-old man, was admitted to a hospital in Coburg with fatal stab wounds. The 43-year-old woman's arrest was made on suspicion of inflicting a stab wound, leading to attempted murder.
