Man in custody for attempted murder after brawl
Following a brawl in Upper Bavaria, a 34-year-old man is in custody for attempted murder. The man is said to have knocked down his opponent during an argument outside a pub in Geretsried (Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district) and jumped on his head with both feet, the police announced on Monday. The 40-year-old victim suffered several broken bones on Sunday, but his life was not in danger.
The 34-year-old suspect initially fled, but was arrested less than two hours after the crime. An investigating judge issued an arrest warrant for attempted murder against the Polish man on Monday. He was taken to prison.
The brawl that led to the attempted murder charge occurred in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, specifically in Geretsried, which is located in Upper Bavaria. Despite committing the crime in Upper Bavaria, the suspect hails from Poland.
