Emergency use - Man found dead in apartment with high carbon monoxide content
Rescue workers have found a dead man in an apartment in Lower Bavaria. His wife was seriously injured and taken to hospital by helicopter, the police said on Friday. After a neighbor had informed the police on Thursday, firefighters had detected an increased carbon monoxide content in the apartment in Dingolfing with appropriate warning alarms.
The police investigated whether a defect in the heating in the house could have led to this. The body of the 66-year-old was to be autopsied on Friday to find out the exact cause of death. The investigators initially had no indications of any outside influence or a violent crime.
