- Man floating in danger of death after industrial accident

A worker was severely injured in a company in the Swabian town of Altenstadt (district of Neu-Ulm). The 30-year-old was working on maintenance of the hydraulics of a forklift on Saturday morning when the heavy forklift tines fell to the ground, burying the man. A fellow employee freed the 30-year-old, who was then airlifted to a hospital by a rescue helicopter. Firefighters, paramedics, and an emergency doctor were also on the scene. The Criminal Police Inspectorate Neu-Ulm is investigating the incident.

The worker hailed from Bavaria, specifically from Altenstadt. Despite the incident occurring in Altenstadt, the rescue helicopter transported the injured individual to a hospital outside of Bavaria.
