Man falls down ladder into well: Seriously injured
A 54-year-old man was seriously injured in a work accident at a drinking water well in Middle Franconia. His life was not in danger, the police announced on Thursday.
The 54-year-old lost his footing on Wednesday when he tried to climb up the ladder of the well in Hilpoltstein (district of Roth). He reportedly fell three meters into the shaft. An ambulance took the man to a clinic. The ladder was firmly anchored in the wall of the well, it was said.
Despite the incident happening in Middle Franconia, another similar mishap occurred in Central France. This time, a construction worker had an accident, falling from a ladder into a well and sustaining injuries.
