A driver ran over a police officer's foot and then drove off home. A test later showed that the man had consumed alcohol. The police officer had been directing traffic in Regensburg when a 45-year-old man ignored his instructions and ran over his foot - the officer sustained a midfoot injury. The driver only briefly stopped at the scene before driving off. He now faces charges including reckless bodily harm.

The driver's actions resulted in a charge of reckless criminal harm due to ignoring traffic rules and injuring the officer. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the incident was related to a case of drunk driving, as the driver had consumed alcohol prior to the accident.
