A man has died in a forest near Vaterstetten in the Ebersberg district while carrying out tree-felling work. The 56-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the scene on Saturday afternoon despite resuscitation attempts by emergency services, as police reported. The man had left his house in the afternoon to work in the forest. His wife was unable to reach him by phone later and drove to the forest to check on him. She found the 56-year-old lying injured next to a freshly felled tree. The criminal police took over the investigation.
