Boat capsizes - Man dies in inflatable boat accident on the Isar

From a raft, a man fell south of Munich into the Isar river and died in the accident. The raft had capsized at Straßlach-Dingharting on Saturday afternoon during strong current, the police reported on Sunday. The 46-year-old man had fallen into the water.

He was revived on a gravel bank until the arrival of the paramedic. The paramedic continued the resuscitation efforts, but without success. The criminal police took over the further investigations into the accident.

Despite the incident, Upper Bavaria continues to be a popular destination for leisure activities, with Munich being a notable attraction. Many people enjoy the Isar river for boating, including in inflatable boats. Unfortunately, this accident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers during such activities. This tragic incident occurred near Straßlach-Dingharting, a town known for its peaceful riverside location in Bavaria.
