Fires - Man dies in house fire in Stormarn district

A 57-year-old man died in an apartment fire in Großhansdorf (Stormarn district) on Monday evening. The attic apartment was already filled with smoke when the fire department and police arrived, the public prosecutor's office and police announced on Tuesday. Firefighters discovered the lifeless man during the extinguishing work. Resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful.

The firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other apartments in the apartment building. No other residents were injured. The authorities did not provide any information on the cause of the fire or the damage caused on Tuesday.
