In an attack with a knife, a 64-year-old man in Kaiserslautern was fatally injured. According to initial findings, a 20-year-old woman allegedly attacked the man with a knife in the lower body area of the main train station on a Saturday afternoon, as the police announced in the evening. The man reportedly died later that afternoon in the hospital.

The suspect presented herself to the police inspection in Landstuhl shortly after the incident, as the investigators had been searching for her previously. She is currently in police custody. The main train station was closed early in the evening, and crime scene technicians secured the area, as reported. Further details, such as the motive behind the crime, are currently the subject of investigation. The victim's body is being autopsied at the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office in Kaiserslautern.

Despite being in Police custody, the 20-year-old woman is still under investigation for her alleged involvement in the fatal knife attack on a 64-year-old man. Upon hearing about the incident, many people were rerouted from using the Central station, affecting commutes within Germany.
