Man critically injured - partner in custody
Following an act of violence in Mainhausen (Offenbach district) in which a man was critically injured, a 22-year-old woman has been remanded in custody on suspicion of attempted manslaughter. This was ordered by a magistrate at the local court on Monday afternoon, as the police announced on Tuesday. The woman is suspected of attacking her 21-year-old partner with a sharp object in their apartment on Sunday. She is said to have injured him so badly that he had to undergo emergency surgery. The background to the attack remains unclear.
