A man in Upper Bavaria was struck by a train and severely injured. As the police reported, the 69-year-old was walking along the railway tracks between Ebersberg and Grafing late Saturday evening when a regional train passed by. He was hit by the train, causing the tracks to be temporarily closed.

The train then proceeded to Ebersberg station, where passengers were able to disembark. The reason why the man was on the tracks is currently under investigation, according to a police spokesman.

Despite the incident, rail transport resumed with delays afterwards. Unfortunately, the incident highlighted the importance of adhering to safety rules around rail transport.
