Pursuit for Fugitive - Man captured in Paris following his escape with child
Not long after the 29-year-old went missing, along with his two-year-old daughter, police in Paris managed to take the father and child into custody. This news surfaced on a Friday night, with the Magdeburg Police Department making the announcement. Police took the man into custody, but they continued their investigation. Consequently, the public search for them was stopped.
Apparently, the man had absconded due to some domestic dispute and fled with the young girl from Kroppenstedt (Börde district) on Tuesday. Both had been nowhere to be found since then, but were later spotted in the Magdeburg region. Police had issued a warning on Wednesday, asking people not to give the man and the child a lift, but to contact them instead. There was a possibility that the father, due to his current circumstances, might endanger himself and his child.
Recently, the man was spotted in Halberstadt and near Klein Quenstedt. The police reported on Friday morning that he didn't have any means of transportation presently and had resorted to hitchhiking. They urged the public to be vigilant and avoid picking them up.
