- Man attacks woman on her way home
An unknown man is believed to have assaulted and sexually harassed a 29-year-old woman on a public street in Hamburg. The woman was on her way home in the early hours of Saturday last week when the man attacked her from behind, pushing her against a wall in the Harvestehude district, as reported by the police. Witnesses to the incident are now being sought.
According to the police report, the woman screamed for help and fought back, causing the attacker to eventually let her go and flee the scene. Despite an immediate search, no suspect was found between the streets Grindelberg and Schlankreye. Authorities are looking for a man approximately 1.70 to 1.75 meters tall, around 30 years old, described as slim with medium-length wavy hair and distinctive eyebrows.
The police are currently seeking witnesses who may have witnessed the assault to provide further information. The incident has been classified as a serious crime and the police are urging the public to be vigilant.
