Man attacks policemen

A 35-year-old man is said to have attacked and injured two police officers in Deggendorf in Lower Bavaria. According to the police on Saturday, the man allegedly got into an argument with a 24-year-old woman in the street on Friday evening and kicked her. When the officers tried to arrest the man, the woman reportedly tried several times to free her acquaintance. The 35-year-old also defended himself by lashing out, insulting and threatening the police officers and allegedly spitting in their faces. The police officers were slightly injured. The man and the woman spent the night in police custody. The police have opened an investigation.

The incident of violence against policemen occurred in the region of Lower Bavaria, specifically in Deggendorf. The 35-year-old, involved in the crime, hails from this region as well.
