A 36-year-old is suspected of shooting his ex-girlfriend's new partner with a paintball gun out of jealousy and seriously injuring him with a knife. The alleged perpetrator first shot his ex-partner and her 33-year-old new boyfriend in Neumarkt, Bavaria, with a paintball gun, police reported.

During the subsequent argument, the 36-year-old stabbed the 33-year-old multiple times with a knife. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening stab and cut wounds.

When police arrested the alleged perpetrator, he was found to be under the influence of drugs and in possession of a stolen e-scooter. The man is currently in custody.

The tragedy occurred on a Saturday, but the incident continued into Sunday. The 36-year-old was questioned by police on Sunday regarding the incident.
