Rescue workers were unable to resuscitate the 62-year-old early on Thursday morning, according to the police in Stendal. The 48-year-old owner of the apartment was arrested shortly afterwards as a suspect. A magistrate issued a remand warrant on Friday on suspicion of manslaughter. The man was taken to the prison in Burg.
