The authorities have yet to comment on the connection between the accused and their involvement in the sports club, as well as the exact timing of the alleged crime. The police have revealed that the female victims have been identified and will be questioned.

Back in 2015, a football coach from the Göttingen area was fined €8,400 for secretly filming women in the shower of a local team. This disturbing act had affected over 50 women, and the surreptitious recordings had taken place between April 2015 and October 2018.
