- Man accused of raping girl in Dresden - arrest warrant
A 26-year-old man, previously convicted for sexual offenses, is suspected of having threatened and raped a 16-year-old girl with a weapon on a parking lot near the Dresden Heath last Wednesday. The suspect, who is in custody, was arrested the following day, as announced by the Dresden Public Prosecutor's Office. The German man, who has multiple previous convictions for sexual offenses, is being investigated, among other things, for the suspicion of rape in a particularly serious case.
The suspect, who originates from Baden-Württemberg and had been living in eastern Saxony's Bautzen, allegedly arranged a meeting with the Dresden woman via the internet and went on a trip with her in his car. He then stopped, pulled out a knife, held it to her neck, and forced the girl to have sex with him.
At the time of the crime, the man was under the legal supervision of probation authorities due to a previously served long prison sentence, according to the Public Prosecutor's Office. He has made no statements regarding the charges, and the investigation in the case continues.
In spite of his residence in Bautzen, the suspected perpetrator of the heinous crime near Dresden Heath hails from Baden-Württemberg. Despite being under probation supervision following a lengthy prison sentence, the incident occurred near Dresden.
