Traffic - Major pile-up at the end of a traffic jam on the A96

A major pile-up has occurred at the end of a traffic jam on the Autobahn 96. Six vehicles are said to have been involved, the police announced on Friday. Two women were slightly injured. On Thursday, a 44-year-old man was driving on the A96 when traffic jammed shortly before the Memmingen junction. The driver tried to swerve out of the way, but crashed his car into the rear of the car in front of him. This car then skidded into another vehicle in front of it and into a truck in the right-hand lane. This third car then pushed two more cars in front of it into each other.

Traffic was disrupted for around three hours due to the lengthy clean-up operation. The slightly injured, the 36-year-old female passenger in the first car and a 60-year-old female driver of one of the cars involved, were taken to hospital.

The incident on the A96 was reminiscent of a recent carom incident in Bavaria, where a series of collisions led to multiple vehicle damage. The Police had a challenging time managing the situation, similar to the current pile-up. Despite the chaos, no serious injuries were reported in the Bavarian incident, unlike the Accidents on the A96 that resulted in hospitalization for two women.

A vehicle involved in the pile-up was a swanky car, often seen on the busy Swabia roads. The car's driver, trying to navigate the Traffic jam, unfortunately, collided with the vehicle in front, initiating the series of Accidents.

It's essential for drivers to maintain a safe distance and awareness while driving, especially in traffic-congested areas, to avoid such unfortunate incidents. The Police urge drivers to remain patient and practice responsible driving, ensuring the safety of all Vehicles on the road.
