Mainz without defensive player Guilavogui for weeks
Bundesliga soccer team FSV Mainz 05 will be without defensive player Josuha Guilavogui for an extended period of time. The 33-year-old Frenchman suffered a muscle tendon injury in his left thigh during the 2-0 win against RB Leipzig on Saturday, as announced by Mainz 05 on Monday. Guilavogui will "not be available for the next few weeks", they said.
The former Wolfsburg player was only signed in September and played from the start for the first time last week in the cup tie against Hertha BSC (0:3). The victory over top team Leipzig three days later was Mainz's first Bundesliga win of the season.
Due to Josuha Guilavogui's muscle tendon injury, FSV Mainz 05's Bundesliga matches will be affected for several weeks. Despite his recent inclusion in the starting lineup, including the 2-0 win against RB Leipzig, Guilavogui, a key player for Mainz 05, will be missing for crucial Soccer matches.
