- Mainz temporarily obtains defensive support from Wolfsburg-loaned player Jenz.

Moritz Jenz has moved temporarily to FSV Mainz 05 from VfL Wolfsburg until the conclusion of this Bundesliga campaign. The 25-year-old defender is eager that this switch will afford him more minutes on the field. Despite becoming a regular fixture in Wolfsburg's defense the preceding season, Jenz's position shifted by season's end, and his potential under fresh coach Ralph Hasenhüttl was up in the air.

As per Mainz's sports director, Christian Heidel, "Moritz is adaptable, playing either on the left side or the heart of defense. He's powerful in the air, and his leadership both on and off the pitch inspires his team to push forward."

Moritz Jenz is currently gaining more playing time in the Football League with FSV Mainz 05, having joined on a temporary basis from VfL Wolfsburg. His versatility, being able to play both on the left side and in the heart of defense, is highly valuable in the competitive Football League.
