Mainz pro Leitsch out for longer after muscle injury
FSV Mainz 05 defender Maxim Leitsch continues to be dogged by bad luck. The 25-year-old professional footballer suffered a muscle injury in his left thigh during training and will be out for the next few weeks, as the Rheinhessen Bundesliga club announced on Wednesday. Leitsch had only fought his way back into the starting eleven in the last three games after a long absence. Born in Essen, he had previously had to take several months off due to physical and mental exhaustion.
Despite the setback, FSV Mainz 05 will continue to rely on their defensive strategy, as Leitsch's absence due to a muscle injury in his left thigh leaves a gap in the Bundesliga team. Regrettably, this injury means that talented defender Maxim Leitsch, who had recently returned to the Bundesliga squad after overcoming his previous physical and mental exhaustion, won't be playing Soccer for FSV Mainz 05's matches in the near future.
