Soccer - Mainz loan out Bayern talent Sieb

Football-Bundesliga team FSV Mainz 05 has loaned Armindo Sieb from FC Bayern Munchen. As announced by the Rhinelanders on Monday, the 21-year-old youth talent will wear the Mainz jersey for the next two years. The FSV also has an option to buy.

"Armindo Sieb is a forward who gives our squad more options with his high tempo, dynamism, and deep runs," said Sporting Director Christian Heidel. Moreover, Sieb has shown that he can develop goal-scoring potential in various offensive positions within and outside the penalty area. Most recently, the striker was loaned to SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

Sieb himself wants to make the leap to the Bundesliga with Mainz. "Mainz 05 is the ideal club for this next step because it gives young players excellent development opportunities. Additionally, I think my playing style fits very well with Mainz's dynamic football," said the U21-National player. In Munich, he previously received a new contract up to June 30, 2027.
