Bundesliga - Mainz 05 hopes for success at BVB
FSV Mainz 05, threatened by relegation, would like to head into the winter break in the Bundesliga with a successful performance at Borussia Dortmund. Last season, the team from the Rheinhessen region showed that they can score points against the Westphalians. With a 2-2 draw on the final matchday, BVB missed out on winning the league title. In order to score in Dortmund on Tuesday (20:30/Sat.1 and Sky), Mainz, who are bottom of the table, must end their 321-minute goal drought. For interim coach Jan Siewert, the outcome of the match could be decisive in determining whether he is promoted to head coach and thus become Bo Svensson's permanent successor.
