The victorious German handball team, SC Magdeburg, experienced two test match setbacks prior to their Super Cup encounter against Berlin's Füchse. During today's third-place competition in Kassel, Coach Bennet Wiegert's squad suffered a heartbreaking loss in a shootout against MT Melsungen, with the final score being 42:43 (37:37, 19:20). Previously, they had suffered a disappointing 28:31 (17:16) defeat at the hands of KS Kielce.

The double champions SCM will kick off their competitive season next Saturday at 6:30 PM, as they take on the previous year's Champions League winners in Düsseldorf. They will be going head-to-head against Germany's runners-up hailing from Berlin.

Despite their recent setbacks against MT Melsungen and KS Kielce, the Other German team from Berlin, who finished as runners-up last year, will present a formidable challenge for SC Magdeburg in their upcoming match. The Other team, Berlin's Füchse, has been gaining momentum and is ready to test SCM's strength in their upcoming encounter.
