The capital of Sachsen-Anhalt state is playing host to the Mitteldeutsche Messe for modern art. Till Sunday, around 60 exhibitors, consisting of 15 galleries and artist collectives, will display their work at "Kunst/Mitte" situated on the Magdeburg fairgrounds. Notably, the tiniest gallery in the city, spanning eight square meters, is making its entrance at this event, as reported by the organizing body.
Embracing Novice Artists
Furthermore, ten budding artists will have their artworks showcased in a distinct section and will be awarded a prize. The art foundation based in Halle, Sachsen-Anhalt, will also bestow a prize for an "exceptional artistic standpoint" for the fourth time.
In total, the gallery stretch measures approximately 560 meters. A wide range of art forms will be displayed, such as painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, collages, and installations. Both established as well as novice artists have applied to participate. A panel of judges will decide who gets a spot at "Kunst/Mitte". The four-day event also includes guided tours, music, and performances.
