Second-tier German league matches - Magdeburg FC inks deal with Zambian international Musonda.
A second-division football club called 1. FC Magdeburg has acquired a skilled winger. As they revealed on Monday, Lubambo Musonda will be transferring from the Danish second division team AC Horsens. The 29-year-old footballer played for the Danish top division team Silkeborg IF during the previous season on loan.
Musonda, who hails from Zambia, is their national team's captain and has participated in 48 international games so far. He's been playing professionally outside of Zambia since 2014. Previously, he played in Armenia and Poland before relocating to Denmark. According to FCM's sports director Otmar Schork, "We've been watching him closely during this past season and are very pleased that he's chosen to join us. Lubambo is a highly experienced player at an international level, who can play on either wing with ease."
