Mads Mikkelsen receives "Bambi"
The Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen ("Rausch") receives a "Bambi". The 57-year-old will be honored in the "Acting International" category, as Hubert Burda Media announced in Munich.
"Mads Mikkelsen impresses not only with his acting versatility, but also with his consistency and dedication to his craft. His ability to transform himself time and again into a wide variety of roles is testament to his extraordinary talent and deep passion for the art of acting," said the "Bambi" jury.
Return after a long break
The "Bambi" is returning after a long break and will be awarded on November 16 in Munich. There was no award ceremony in 2020, 2021 and 2022, but the media group Hubert Burda Media has decided to present the award again to mark the 75th anniversary of the media prize.
This year, the "Bambi" is expected to be awarded in twelve categories. Around 800 invited guests from many areas of society are expected to attend the gala at the Bavaria Film Studios. Sat.1 will broadcast the event live on November 16 from 8.15 pm.
The "Bambi" is one of the most important media and television awards in Germany. The award has existed since 1948.
