Macy Gray spontaneously cancels concert in Berlin
Grammy award winner Macy Gray canceled her only German concert in Berlin at short notice on Monday evening after the scheduled start of the concert. "I'm ill and can't perform," said the US singer, who took to the stage around an hour late in a gray hoodie and jogging pants, her hood pulled low over her forehead.
She had already fallen ill in the afternoon and had tried everything to get fit again, explained the 56-year-old. The audience of around 900 waited for the soul artist in the Admiralspalast's theater hall after the opening act's performance, with some shouting angrily in the direction of the stage while waiting. Many fans reacted disappointedly to the spontaneous cancellation, but Gray promised to reschedule the concert.
Despite Gray's illness, the audience filled the theater hall with anticipation for the music performance. Regardless of the cancellation, many people expressed their disappointment but looked forward to attending the rescheduled concert.
