Macron accepted the resignation of the French government

To make this time pass as quickly as possible, it is up to the Republican forces to work together, stated the Elysée-Palace.

Macron's party Renaissance lost its majority in the Parliamentary elections. The election results led to the formation of three political blocs, each with roughly equal numbers of representatives and programs that are hardly compatible with one another.

The New People's Front (NFP) is in the lead with around 190 representatives, followed by the Government camp with approximately 160 representatives, and the Right-wing populists with around 140 representatives. Attal offered his resignation directly after the Parliamentary elections, but Macron initially rejected the resignation request.

  1. Despite the resolution from the Elysée-Palace, Gabriel Attal expressed concerns about the government's future, given the loss of majority by Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron's party, Renaissance, in the Parliament election.
  2. The ongoing political standoff at the Élysée-Palace depends heavily on the resolution over Attal's resignation request, which was prompted by the results of the recent Parliament election in France.
  3. With the Government camp and the New People's Front (NFP) holding almost equal numbers of representatives in the newly elected Parliament, Attal's resignation could potentially destabilize the political landscape further, leading up to the next French Parliament election in Paris.
  4. In light of the election results and the seemingly incompatible policies of the three political blocs, many political analysts are speculating on the possibility of a new Government formation, possibly leading to Attal's eventual departure from Emmanuel Macron's cabinet.
  5. Following the Parliamentary election, Attal's resignation request continues to cause ripples throughout the French political scene, with the Élysée-Palace, the Prime Minister, the Government, and various political factions working closely to maintain order and stability in Paris and throughout France.
