- Luna Lovegood actress comes to Hamburg for fan meetings
When September 1st rolls around, numerous Harry Potter fans will gather in Hamburg for the grand "Back to Hogwarts" event, and special guests are expected. Among them is actress Evanna Lynch (32), who portrayed the gentle, blonde Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films. She feels honored to join the event, saying, "As a big Potter fan, this is a special moment for me too. I enjoy the community of people who, like me, have been guided and inspired by the unparalleled magic of Harry Potter's story throughout their lives." She can hardly wait to share and celebrate their mutual love for these books and films with the fans in Hamburg.
The fan event at the Hamburg Großmarkt kicks off on September 1st at 11:00 AM - the exact time and date that the Hogwarts Express departs from Platform 9¾ in each of J.K. Rowling's eight Harry Potter books, marking the start of the new school year for the magical students.
Fans, with free admission, will get to see two sneak previews of the play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," go behind the scenes, listen to audiobook narrator Rufus Beck read from the beloved books, meet the German voice actors of Ron and Hermione, and participate in wand choreographies.
In addition, the new cast members of the Harry Potter play, which has been running at the Hamburg Theater am Großmarkt since 2021, will be introduced. They will take to the stage from late October 2024. Fans eager to watch the eight Harry Potter films on the big screen can do so starting August 31st, as all films will be shown in Cinemaxx cinemas across Germany.
