Munich Airport - Lufthansa: Days of restrictions due to winter weather
Lufthansa expects flight operations at Munich Airport to be restricted for several more days due to the winter weather. It is assumed that there will also be significant restrictions on Tuesday afternoon and for the rest of the week, a company spokesperson told Deutsche Presse-Agentur on Monday evening. According to an airport spokesperson, there will be no take-offs and landings at Munich Airport between 6.00 am and 12.00 pm on Tuesday due to the forecast freezing rain.
Due to the exceptional weather situation, customers with booked tickets to or from Munich have the option of canceling their tickets free of charge, the Lufthansa spokesperson said. This applies to tickets with a travel date up to December 9. Restrictions are also to be expected at other German airports. It is therefore important for passengers to check the status of their flight online before traveling to the airport.
