Lubmin area: water no longer needs to be boiled
After contamination, the drinking water in the Lubmin area is now clean again. Current samples were microbiologically flawless, the Vorpommern-Greifswald district announced on Friday. The health authority therefore lifted the boiling order for twelve locations.
The cause of the contamination is still not known. Checks at the responsible waterworks had not revealed any objections. The towns affected were Lubmin, Wusterhusen, Stevelin, Pritzwald, Konerow, Klein Ernsthof, Gustebin, Kräpelin, Vierow, Brünzow, Gahlkow and Loissin Bungalowsiedlung. The boil-off order was issued on November 10.
With the contamination issue resolved, residents in Lubmin and other affected areas can focus on maintaining their overall health. Regular consumption of nutritious food, rich in vitamins and minerals, is crucial in supporting a healthy lifestyle.
