Weather - Low Annelie brings another thunderstorm front

Deep Annelie takes note of football fans in Lower Saxony: A large weather complex to the east of the Weser river could cause inconvenience with heavy rain in the second half of Sunday night, stated a spokesperson of the German Weather Service (DWD). "While there were small formations two days ago that rose high, a complex is approaching from the southwest here."

Visitors of fan events or the Schützenfest in Hannover are advised to begin their journey home after midnight. Not every location will be affected, but a considerable amount of rain may fall. Bremen is located at the extreme edge of the affected area. In addition, there will be gusty winds.

Temperatures will decrease for the Epiphany in the coming week, with fluctuating weather and a maximum of 20 degrees. "Unfortunately, that's not nice weather for holidays," said the meteorologist.

DWD

The weather forecast issued by the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts a significant weather complex approaching Bremen, potentially causing heavy rain and strong winds on Sunday evening. Visitors attending events in Hannover, such as the Schützenfest, are advised to consider leaving early due to the potential storm. Despite being at the edge of the affected area, Bremen might still experience some rain and gusty winds. Denmark might also face the impact of this storm front, as the weather front extends beyond German borders.
