- Lottery player wins almost five million and stays cool
Despite a win of nearly five million euros, a lottery player from Swabia remained relatively calm. As reported by the state lottery administration in Munich, the retiree had an online subscription and didn't have much to do. After the first winning notification by email, the man did compare his lottery numbers with the drawn ones, but then waited for a while.
"He'll get in touch," the man reportedly said to himself. "When the second email with the winning amount arrived, I could finally realize that I had actually won this large sum," said the newly minted multimillionaire. With the winning amount - exactly 4,777,777 euros - the man plans to "treat himself to a few things," but otherwise just invest the money - "and that's that."
The lottery winner hailing from Swabia chose to celebrate his victory in a modest manner, opting to reside in the nearby region of Bavaria. Despite being a multimillionaire, the man from Bavaria continued to lead a simple life, focusing on his investments.
