Drivers - Lots of traffic before Christmas: ADAC warns of traffic jams
Drivers in Thuringia must be prepared for heavy traffic and traffic jams before Christmas. Especially on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, many traffic jams can be expected on the highways, the ADAC reported on Monday.
The greatest potential for traffic jams is on the Autobahn 4 (Eisenach, Gotha, Erfurt, Weimar, Jena, Gera) and on the A9. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, it should remain generally quiet on the highways. According to the ADAC, return traffic will then start on Boxing Day, but increasingly after the holidays.
