Due to an impending extreme weather system, the concert by pop act Pur in Losheim am See has been called off. "Sadly, a worsening weather scenario is anticipated for tonight, leading to the collective decision to terminate the event," the organizer shared in the evening. This wasn't an easy call for everyone involved. Attendees were advised to stay put. The band, fronted by Hartmut Engler, was initially set to take the stage at 7 pm at the Losheim beach.
Following a streak of warm weather, the German Meteorological Service (DWD) in Offenbach predicted rain showers and intense thunderstorms, accompanied by heavy rain, hail, and strong winds for the evening. Certain regions in Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland might even encounter hurricane-strength winds with velocities reaching up to 110 km/h, the meteorologists cautioned.
The concert cancellation affected many, as Hartmut Engler and his band were eagerly anticipated at the Losheim am See beach. Regrettably, the harsh weather conditions weren't suitable for the event in Losheim, issued by the German Meteorological Service.
