- Lockdown on A12 after accident - three injured
Following an accident, the A12 highway in the direction of Frankfurt (Oder) is closed between Fürstenwalde-Ost and Briesen(Oder). As a spokesperson for the police reported, three people were injured in the afternoon car accident - a 40-year-old man and a seven-year-old girl seriously.
According to the reports, the 40-year-old man attempted to overtake another car and clipped it while trying to merge back into his lane. Subsequently, the man's car veered off the road and overturned multiple times, it was reported.
There were a total of four people in the second car, according to the reports. The 42-year-old driver was reportedly lightly injured in the accident.
The police are directing traffic at the closure on the A12 highway due to the accident. Emergency services, including the police, are currently providing assistance at the scene.
