Fire department operation - Livestock truck with bulls tips on its side

In an accident involving a livestock truck on Tuesday in Mettingen in the northern Münsterland region, more than 20 bulls tipped onto their sides in a trailer. According to the police in the district of Steinfurt, the driver of the truck and his trailer had strayed onto the grass verge. The tractor unit with some of the animals came to a standstill. It was still unclear at midday whether and how many animals were injured in the accident near the state border with Lower Saxony. The fire department got the animals out of the truck.

  5. The investigating police officers and Animal transporter company from Münsterland will collaborate with the Police in Lower Saxony to investigate the causes of the accident and determine if any legal actions are necessary.
