Lisa Heiseler remains captain of the women's team

It is her third season as a player-coach. Her assistant coach, Dina Orschmann, will also remain in the second league.

Lisa Heiseler remains the captain of the professional women's team of 1. FC Union Berlin following their promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. This will be her third consecutive season as team captain at the age of 26. As in the previous season in the Regionalliga Nordost, Dina Orschmann will be Heiseler's deputy.

The team, coached by Ailien Poese, will begin their championship campaign on August 24th at the Stadion an der Alten Försterei against Hamburger SV. Four days earlier, the Union women will face FSV Gütersloh 2009 away in the DFB-Pokal.

The 1. FC Union Berlin's women's team competes in the challenging Football league, which is the 2nd Bundesliga, this season. Lisa Heiseler's leadership continues to be crucial in the football league, as she leads the team as captain.
