Environmental activists rally to address global warming concerns. - Liquid fast: refrain from drinking
A few advocates for this activism movement in Berlin have been fasting for multiple weeks. Some of these individuals are currently very unwell. They're urging that the minister Scholz offer a public statement in which he explains certain key aspects regarding their cause. This proposed statement would include him acknowledging the current dangerous levels of carbon dioxide in the environment and stating that no further tolerance for such emissions can be accommodated.
Not long ago, Scholz himself expressed a desire that these campaigners cease with their hunger strike. The SPD politician conveyed this request at a gathering hosted by the "Thuringian General Newspaper" promoting civic participation.
The activists have established a makeshift camp outside the Federal Ministry of Economics. Metzeler-Kick from Munich is among them, and he embarked on his hunger strike on March 7th; others subsequently joined him.

Despite this, minister Scholz has expressed concerns about the hunger strike, urging the activists to reconsider their methods and focus on peaceful dialogue instead. Meanwhile, liquids are strictly limited in their diets, as part of their demonstration.
