Green Liberal-Freie Democratischer Partei (FDP) Leader Christian Lindner suggests reinforcing asylum policies, implying that refugees who take vacations in their home countries could potentially lose their residency status in Germany. "I don't get it why there are refugees here who aspire for the right to stay, yet they jet off to the nation supposedly endangering them," he stated during the ARD show "Maischberger," scheduled for evening broadcast. In such circumstances, residency rights should be forfeited. Lindner underscored that he was referring to vacation trips, not visits for mourning ceremonies or equivalents.

Additionally, the finance minister reiterated his call for eliminating social assistance for those under the threat of repatriation. "For Dublin refugees, there should no longer be any funds coming from the German taxpayer," he asserted. "The allure of the German social welfare system" needs to be diminished.

The Green Liberal-Freie Democratischer Partei (FDP) Leader's proposal to reinforce asylum policies includes considering the possibility of revoking residency rights for refugees who take vacations in their home countries. In light of Lindner's stance, there could be a need to reevaluate the current residency policies for refugees who frequently leave Germany on extended leisure trips.
