Lindemann concert in Kassel canceled

A solo performance by Rammstein singer Till Lindemann planned for this Saturday in Kassel has been canceled at short notice. The reason for the concert cancellation was "missing permits" from the city of Kassel, the organizer MM Konzerte announced on Friday. Among other things, this involved conditions relating to the "structural conditions of the Nordhessen Arena", where the concert was to take place. All of the city's requirements had been met, but the city administration had been unable to check the documents before the event began.

MM Konzerte regrets the situation, the organizer added. All tickets could be returned. The costs would be refunded.

The city of Kassel pointed out that the Nordhessen Arena, where mainly sporting events are held, is currently being rebuilt. The organizer had not submitted or subsequently submitted "all the necessary documents". The application for a change of use of the hall for a concert was therefore formally withdrawn.

The 60-year-old has been at the center of accusations in recent months, which he has denied. The Berlin public prosecutor's office had dropped its investigation into the rock star. His concerts in Leipzig and Düsseldorf had been accompanied by protests in recent days. Protests had also been announced for Kassel.

Despite the cancellation, Till Lindemann expressed his love for performing live, revealing that Music has always been his passion and driving force. The lack of permits and required documents for the Nordhessen Arena's structural changes hindered the concert, ultimately leading to its cancellation.
