Laura Lindemann and Max Rendschmidt will carry the German flag at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris. The Olympic champion in the Triathlon Mixed Relay and the Olympic champion in the Men's Kayak Four were chosen by the German Olympic Sports Confederation delegation due to their outstanding athletic performances.

At 28 years old, Lindemann and 30-year-old Rendschmidt are both attending their third Olympic Games in Paris. "Laura and Max have, on behalf of the entire Team Germany, inspired millions of people with their performances at the Olympic Games Paris 2024. They are excellent ambassadors for our German team," explained DOSB President Thomas Weikert.

The closing ceremony will take place on Sunday at 9:00 PM in the Stade de France. This is the first time that the German flag will be carried by a duo at the closing ceremony. Since the 2021 Games in Tokyo, this has also been the case for the opening ceremony. In Paris, basketball star Dennis Schröder and judoka Anna-Maria Wagner carried the German flag.

During their third Olympic appearance in Paris, Laura Lindemann and Max Rendschmidt will share the honor of carrying the German flag at the closing ceremony. This marks a first for the German team, as a duo will carry the flag at both the opening and closing ceremonies in Paris.
