- Lights out - five injured in collision

During a traffic light failure in Kempten, five people were injured in a collision between two vehicles. As the police reported, the traffic lights at an intersection had failed due to a storm on Wednesday evening. A 42-year-old truck driver then failed to yield to a public bus, causing a collision that sent the bus crashing into a traffic light pole.

Parts of the traffic light fell onto the car of a 29-year-old, who remained uninjured. The truck driver and the 60-year-old bus driver sustained minor injuries. According to police statements, three bus passengers aged 15, 16, and 41 also suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital. A technician repaired the traffic light. The total damage amounted to approximately 75,000 euros.

The truck driver's failure to yield during the traffic light failure led directly to the fierce fight between his truck and the bus. Subsequently, the aftermath of the collision saw the bus engaging in a struggle with a traffic light pole.
