- Lightning strikes the house and sets the attic on fire

During a thunderstorm, a lightning strike hit the roof of a house in the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district, causing a fire. The fire department quickly extinguished the fire in the attic of the multi-family house in Neuburg on the Danube on Wednesday evening, as reported by the police. No one was injured. The exact amount of damage was initially unclear.

The thunderstorm continued to intensify, causing several power outages in the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district. Frequent thunderstorms are known to trigger wildfires, but fortunately, this wasn't the case this time.
