After a lightning strike at a supermarket in Dresden, two injured employees were taken to the hospital. The woman and the man, both 50 years old, complained of headaches, discomfort, and nausea, as the fire department reported on Thursday evening. Both were treated by paramedics and then taken to a clinic in an ambulance.
The lightning strike apparently caused a defect in a refrigeration unit for baked goods, it continued. In addition, a chemical odor spread in the supermarket. The cause of this was unclear.
